With Qld Road Safety Week in full swing, we are here to remind everybody that IT can happen to you. Yes, the dreaded knock at your door late one night when you least expect it. It's haunting and devastating and it's a memory that will never go away for us. Unfortunately, we won't be the only ones who will have this happen to them. Each year 59 lives are lost on our roads and up to 369 people are seriously injured due to our ever-increasing road toll.
Speeding is one of the major killers on Queensland roads. On average 59 people are killed and 369 seriously injured each year on Queensland roads as a result of speed-related crashes. Many of those hospitalized will suffer from the effects of their injuries for the rest of their lives.
Please remember to get home safe to your loved ones. Don't be the person who ruins a family's life and the life of your own because you were speeding or doing 'dumb' things in your car. Its not 'cool' and you look like an idiot and potentially can harm or even kill yourself or someone else.
